Free finance reporting tools & templates

A finance report is just a consistent structure applied to numbers you already have. This guide gives you four report structures you can copy into any spreadsheet, plus the free Kritvox tools that handle the maths and the export.

What counts as a finance report

For individuals and small businesses, four reports cover almost everything: where money went last month, whether the business made a profit, whether cash will run out, and who still owes you. Anything more elaborate is usually a compliance requirement rather than a decision-making need.

Four report templates (copy the columns)

A free workflow, start to finish

  1. Export transactions from your bank as CSV and paste them into a sheet using one of the structures above.
  2. Convert or tidy the raw export with the text tools — the CSV to JSON converter and duplicate-line remover handle most messy exports.
  3. Calculate the derived figures — margin, break-even, tax, ROI — with the calculators below.
  4. Print the finished sheet to PDF, then merge, compress or password-protect it with the PDF tools.

Calculators that feed the report

Do you need reporting software?

If you file VAT/GST, run payroll, or have more than a handful of monthly invoices, dedicated accounting software pays for itself in avoided mistakes. Below that threshold, a spreadsheet plus these free tools produces the same reports without a subscription — and without your financial data leaving your device, since every Kritvox tool runs in the browser.
